Description
Constructed for Kapiti Coast District Council to separate reusable and recyclable materials from general waste.
A prestressed concrete floor was built for the main tipping area to allow for water run-off. Tilt panel walls were made on-site, while conventional timber framing and titan board panels were used for the office area. The roof was constructed with a combination of long run iron and clear sheet panelling to provide a natural light source.
Construction of a weighbridge and the kiosk, along with the sealing of the yard completed this $1.6m project.
